Job Summary :

The Business Objects Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the Business Objects environment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role will involve administering various components of the Business Objects platform, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to users.

Job Details :

Key Responsibilities • Administration: o Install, configure, and maintain Business Objects components including Universe Designer, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Central Management Server (CMS). o Manage user access and permissions within the Business Objects environment. o Perform system upgrades and patches as needed. o Monitor system performance and capacity, making recommendations for optimization. • Troubleshooting: o Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Business Objects components and integrations. o Provide timely and effective support to users, addressing their queries and resolving problems efficiently. • Performance Tuning: o Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks. o Implement strategies to improve query performance and overall system efficiency. • Security: o Ensure the security and integrity of the Business Objects environment by implementing appropriate security measures. o Manage user access controls and audit logs. • Database Management: o Work closely with database administrators to ensure optimal database performance and availability. o Develop and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and analysis. • Documentation: o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Business Objects processes, procedures, and configurations Qualifications and Experience • Proven experience as a Business Objects Administrator, preferably at an expert level. • Strong understanding of SAP Business Objects architecture and components. • Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting issues within the Business Objects environment. • Experience with performance tuning, system monitoring, and capacity planning. • Knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) and familiarity with SQL queries. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desired Skills (Additional) • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and methodologies. • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). • Familiarity with cloud-based Business Objects deployments.
